Lodi News Feature on the 2024 Lions All-Star Football Game

Barrett Crosby and Jason Evans of Tokay were featured as two of the North selections for the 48th annual Lions All-Star Football Game, set for June 22, 2024 at Tracy High's Wayne Schneider Stadium. Both had already graduated and begun summer conditioning with American River College, but returned to prepare for one final high school game.

Crosby, a running back and linebacker, came off a season in which he rushed for 853 yards and 11 touchdowns, added another touchdown receiving, and led Tokay with 61 tackles while also posting two sacks, four interceptions, two forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. Evans filled several roles for the Tigers and finished with 58 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries on defense, plus three catches for 50 yards and a touchdown on offense.

Matt Shinn of Lodi had also been selected for the North, but he was already in North Dakota working out with Minot State. For Crosby and Evans, the game served as a final high school showcase before moving into junior college football at American River, where both were preparing for the jump to the next level.
